PhotoWalk Nepal was founded by Mr Om Prakash Yadav, an avid photo enthusiast since 1994 and a full time professional Wildlife and Travel photographer since 2011. When Mr. Yadav won the Grand Prize of 2nd Nature Through Lens 2005 organized by Wildlife Conservation Nepal, it was a turning point in his life as a photographer.
An IT professional with a huge passion for photography, Mr. Yadav found a new inspiration with this win. When his friends and colleagues asked him if he would go out on short photography trips and teach them some photography, he was happy to oblige. July-8, 2006 was the first time that Om Yadav took some of his colleagues to Pashupatinath on such a trip, after which it became a little more frequent and a little more organized.
As word spread, friends of his colleagues also started to join these trips and soon they went on to become monthly photo walks. The first of which, was at Khokana, Lalitpur; on 17th May 2007. From this day on PhotoWalk Nepal became an open public forum where any photo enthusiast could participate without any obligation.
Every alternate Saturday, we go on short photographic trips in and around Kathmandu valley to take pictures and discuss different aspects of photography like emerging technology, lighting conditions, photography tips and tricks, post-production etc. We call these trips ‘Photo Walks’. Please go through the FAQ page to know more about this free event.
Along with regular free photowalks we provide various photographic services to a wide range of clients. Please visit our Services page for more details.
