posted in: Galleries, Photo Walks | 0

Our photowalk at Ason–Indrachok on 7 February 2026 was an energetic and inspiring experience. With its bustling alleys, colorful street life, and rich cultural texture, Ason–Indrachok offered a vibrant canvas for photographers to observe, engage, and capture stories that reflect the soul of Kathmandu.

It was especially exciting to have Nepal’s first wildlife photographer, Mr Rajesh Dhungana, join us as a special guest. His presence and insights added a unique dimension to the walk, creating opportunities for learning, interaction, and creative exchange. Participants enthusiastically engaged in conversation with him, exploring ideas about composition, observation, and the meaningful use of photography as a tool for visual storytelling.

Adding further excitement to the walk, Nikon Nepal generously provided participants with the opportunity to experience their latest mirrorless camera systems. Photographers had the chance to borrow and explore a range of advanced Nikon cameras including the Z8, Z6 III, Z50 II, Z30, and ZR, allowing them to experiment with new tools while capturing the vibrant life of Ason–Indrachok. This hands-on experience added an extra layer of learning and creative exploration to the morning.

Throughout the walk, photographers of different backgrounds and skill levels shared perspectives, experimented with angles, and documented moments that reveal the charm and character of everyday life in the heart of the city. These images—captured through curious eyes and varied visual voices—showcase Ason–Indrachok from many angles: lively rituals, vibrant markets, subtle details, and candid encounters.

This featured gallery brings together selected photographs from the walk, highlighting individual interpretations and creative choices. Each image reflects not only the place itself, but also the personal way each photographer connected with the scene. Followed by a short video of the event.

The following video of our Ason-Indrachok photowalk was filmed almost entirely on Nikon’s ZR CINEMA camera by Anshuman Yadav, demonstrating its cinematic capabilities in a dynamic street environment. The behind-the-scenes footage featuring him was captured on the Nikon Z9, highlighting the strength of Nikon’s flagship mirrorless system in action.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the warmth and energy of the day. Together, we continue building a community grounded in observation, curiosity, and shared creative passion.
