We began the year with a memorable photowalk at Patan Durbar Square, bringing together 15 enthusiastic participants to explore one of Kathmandu Valley’s most iconic heritage sites through photography.
The walk offered countless moments for observation, storytelling, and creative expression. Participants moved throught the heritage areas, capturing architectural details, candid street scenes, and the unique atmosphere that makes Patan a living heritage space.
What made this photowalk especially meaningful was the strong sense of community. Photographers of different experience levels shared perspectives, exchanged ideas, and learned from one another throughout the walk. The energy was open, curious, and collaborative: exactly what PhotoWalk Nepal aims to cultivate.
The discussion session after the photowalk was both fun and highly interactive. We also took this opportunity to talk about our plans and vision for upcoming PhotoWalk Nepal events, making it a true two-way conversation with the community.
This featured gallery highlights selected photographs from the walk, showcasing individual viewpoints and interpretations of the same space. Each image reflects not only Patan, but also the diverse ways photographers see, feel, and tell stories. Followed by a short video of the event.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this walk such a positive start to the year. We look forward to many more walks, conversations, and shared experiences in the months ahead.
