Shankhamul is a historic settlement on the banks of Bagmati river bordering Kathmandu and Lalitpur. There are numerous Hindu and Buddhist shrines along the south bank of the river where locals perform religious rites including cremation. This weekend our photowalk was at Shankhamul.
This photowalk was a special one as it marked the start of collaboration between PhotoWalk Nepal and Nikon. Nikon Experience Hub, Nepal had loaned out a demonstration copy of the Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera along with its kit lens, NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR, and FTZ adapter; for the participants to experience.
Our discussion session covered the following topics:
- Nikon mirrorless systems and emerging technologies
- Autofocus finetuning
- Upcoming wildlife photography trip (March-2021)
Here are a few selected photographs taken by the participants of photowalk, followed by a short video shot during event.
Read the Photowalk FAQs to know more about our photowalks and how to join.
