PhotoWalk Nepal is pleased to announce a new collaboration with BIOCOS Nepal, an organization dedicated to biodiversity conservation and community-based environmental stewardship in Nepal.
This partnership reflects a shared belief that photography can play an important role in raising awareness about nature, wildlife, and conservation efforts.

Supporting Conservation-Themed Photowalks
As part of this collaboration, BIOCOS Nepal will sponsor one conservation-themed photowalk every three months. These photowalks will highlight the importance of protecting Nepal’s natural ecosystems and wildlife, while giving participants an opportunity to explore nature through photography and storytelling.
Through these walks, PhotoWalk Nepal hopes to encourage photographers to look beyond aesthetics and engage with the environmental stories unfolding around us.
A New Section in FRAME: Snow Leopard Scout’s Diary
The partnership will also bring a new recurring feature to FRAME, PhotoWalk Nepal’s photography magazine.
Each issue of FRAME will include a special article titled “Snow Leopard Scout’s Diary.” This feature will present a brief journal documenting the experiences of the snow leopard scouts working in the field over the previous three months, accompanied by photographs captured during their work.
These stories will offer readers a rare glimpse into the daily realities of wildlife conservation and the challenges of protecting one of the Himalaya’s most iconic species, the Snow Leopard.
Conservation Work in the Himalayas
BIOCOS Nepal runs a Snow Leopard Stewardship Program in Manang, where conservation efforts are carried out by a dedicated team consisting of one chief ranger and two snow leopard scouts. Their work includes monitoring snow leopard activity, documenting wildlife presence, and engaging with local communities to promote coexistence between people and wildlife.
Through the Snow Leopard Scout’s Diary, readers of FRAME will be able to follow these field experiences and better understand the realities of conservation work in the high Himalayas.
Photography as a Tool for Awareness
At PhotoWalk Nepal, we believe photography can inspire curiosity, empathy, and awareness about the natural world. By collaborating with organizations such as BIOCOS Nepal, we hope to create meaningful connections between photographers and conservation initiatives.
We are grateful to BIOCOS Nepal for supporting our community and helping bring important conservation stories to the pages of FRAME.
