At the heart of Kathmandu lies Hanumandhoka Durbar Square, where centuries of history continue to unfold amid the rhythm of everyday life. Ancient temples, palace courtyards, bustling streets, and hidden alleys provided a rich setting for our Hanumandhoka Photowalk, inviting participants to explore one of Nepal’s most significant heritage sites through their own creative perspectives.

Beginning from the Kal Bhairab Temple, participants wandered through the historic square and its surrounding streets, photographing the interplay of architecture, culture, and human activity. Beyond the grandeur of the monuments, photographers discovered countless stories in fleeting gestures, quiet corners, and everyday interactions that define the living character of Hanumadhoka.

The photowalk encouraged participants to observe carefully and look beyond the obvious. Rather than simply documenting landmarks, they explored how composition, light, timing, and human presence could transform familiar scenes into meaningful visual narratives. As always, the experience became as much about learning to see as it was about making photographs.

Following the walk, participants gathered for our Discussion Session featuring Gear Experience Sharing, where those who borrowed Nikon mirrorless camera systems reflected on their experiences, followed by our Photo Review & Critique Session, where participants shared photographs for constructive feedback and discussion. Together, these sessions continue to strengthen the learning-focused spirit of PhotoWalk Nepal and encourage photographers to grow through shared experiences.
